April 28-Free Marketing Workshop for Local Food Producers and Artisans

“Every customer who walks by your market booth represents money gained or lost. Just as you harvest your farm products, you harvest your customers. Come learn about winning direct marketing strategies that you can implement this year for maximized profits, ” states Dr. Theresa Nartea, Marketing & Agribusiness Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist from Virginia State University Cooperative Extension.

Nartea will provide local producers and market vendors with free training in the following areas: how to display products for impulse purchases; how to use signage to sell more products; and, how to engage customers through the season.”Marketing directly to your customers in a farmers’ market setting is not as easy as it looks, but after attending this “market-intensive” workshop, you’ll be excited and ready to put your best stand forward at the farmers market. 2016 profits here we come!”
