Giles Film Office Welcomes New Intern

The Giles County Film Office has a new face, intern Kristin Gillispie. Gillispie, from Pembroke, is a junior at Liberty University studying Cinematic Arts. She recently started the film program in the fall. The film program consists of sixty students divided up into three different cohorts. The program prepares students to go out in this unique line of work by teaching everything from; production work, editing, and legalities. Gillispie also interned with Wish You Well producer, Sara Timmins at Life Out Loud Films, in her freshman year at Liberty. “I’m excited to start this new opportunity and to have the ability to connect with other filmmakers. I also look forward to bringing more film projects to Giles and getting the community involved in this industry through the film office.” said Gillispie. She is currently working on a short film that will be shot in the fall of 2017.
