Iris Brammer Public Library

The Iris Brammer Public Library can be found just up from the Duck Pond in the charming town of Narrows, Virginia. Librarian Felecia Bowman welcomes everyone Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm to the Iris Brammer Library. Although note, they close for lunch from 12-1.

The rich history of the library includes opening originally in the Givens Funeral Parlor as the Narrows Woman’s Club Library in 1935. For 36 years Mrs. Iris Brammer served as librarian and after her retirement in 2000 the community library changed its name to reflect her long time service.

Now the Library hopes to continue on the good work from the past and continue to be an impactful organization within the community. Did you know if you live in Narrows or surrounding areas, you can get a library card at any time and enjoy the benefits of the library? Librarian Felecia wants everyone to know that the library can be a place for assistance with social media, basic faxing, and computer assistance.

The Iris Brammer Public Library will be soon releasing summer program details and more information about future adult and teen programming, as well as information on Virginia Tech partnerships. The Library is located at 109 Mary Street, Narrows, VA and can be reached by phone at 540-726-2884 or on Facebook.com/IrisBrammerLibrary. You can also get to them via the Town of Narrows website, https://townofnarrows.org.
