August 27- Fall into the New
ReNew the New will be holding its annual cleanup day on Saturday, August 27th. Exciting developments this year include a move in location. The City of Radford, and counties of Giles , Pulaski, and Montgomery are partnering together for this New River Valley regional project. Registration will begin at 8:30 A.M. at field of Glencoe Museum in Radford, which is located at 600 Unruh Drive. After a morning of work volunteers will return for lunch and a free T-shirt at noon.
What will you be doing? Those in canoes and kayaks will be picking up trash in the river as well as along riverbanks and mid-river islands. Walkers will be picking up trash at boat ramps, along river access roads and riverbanks. Make sure you wear sunblock, river shoes, sturdy clothing, and be ready to work and get wet!
Please give your support in helping us make the New River pristine, thriving, and NEW!
