Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop
It’s Free. It’s Fun. It’s Empowering
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Christiansburg
Starting Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
- Do you have a chronic health condition such as high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, COPD, depression/anxiety, fibromyalgia, MS, asthma, or heart disease?
- Are you a Caregiver?
- Would you like to learn how to better manage the symptoms associated with these chronic conditions?
During a free six week workshop you will learn a variety of self-management skills to help you “put the life back in your life” so you can maintain and/or increase the daily activities of your choice.
What you learn will enhance the treatment plan recommended by your health care provider.
Workshop Topics Include:
- Goal Setting
- Problem Solving
- Managing Fatigue and Pain
- Healthy Eating
- Low Impact Exercising
- Communicating effectively with family, friends, and your health care team.
- Dealing with Difficult Emotions
Participants Receive a FREE Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions workbook and Relaxation for Body and Mind CD.
Participants will be entered into a Drawing for Gift Certificates
