FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

 

The Friends of Southwest Virginia has determined that the Giles County Boat Ramps Project

will have no significant impact on the human environment.  Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required.  This project consists of the installation of four boat ramps, parking, and access located along the New River in Giles County, Virginia.    Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) on file at CHA Consulting, Inc. at 1341 Research Center Drive, Suite 2100, Blacksburg, Virginia and may be examined or copied weekdays 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS

 

Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to comment on the project may submit written comments to the Friends of Southwest Virginia at One Heartwood Circle, Abingdon, VA 24210.  All comments received by Monday, August 13, 2018 will be considered by the Friends of Southwest Virginia.
