Oct 25 | Giles Community Film Screening Night
Giles Community Film Screening Night
Giles County is Virginia’s Mountain Playground™. It is also the place to play, stay, love, and enjoy and that is just what will be showcased at the second Giles Community Film Screening Night on April 26th. Many film and productions crews have found Giles to be a special place to work including feature films like Dirty Dancing, and Wish You Well and TV shows like Finding Bigfoot.
On Friday, October 25, at Giles High School, the Giles County Film Office will be hosting a Film Screening Night that will feature a fun red carpet entrance complete with paparazzi beginning at 6:30pm. The program starts at 7pm and will include an updates on the Community Film Project, and how all guests can be involved in capturing Giles as the place to stay, play, love, and enjoy. More information on the Community Film Project can be found on the Film Office Facebook page or gilescounty.org.
The premier of Summer Slasher, will be the feature of the evening. The local production team and crew are from the New River Valley with strong ties to Giles County. This horror project was written, directed, and produced by Justin Smith and others from our community.
The public is invited and encouraged to come on out and enjoy the night. The free event will begin with a red carpet meet and greet at 6:30pm with the screenings beginning at 7pm. There will be a fun photo booth, provided by Cooke Photography to take home your own keepsake photo, as well as popcorn and movie snacks for purchase.
