Upcoming Group Hikes

Saturday, May 18th, meetup in parking lot at 10am | Cascades waterfall.

Visit our page for more information on the area & hike. Hike Leader: Teresa Fletcher. All must COMPLETE THE WAIVER before Saturday. Special Notes: There is a $3 per vehicle fee that must be paid at entrance. This is a 4 mile round trip hike and should take 2-3 hours to complete.

Friday, June 14th at 9am| River walk/stroll at Whitt-Riverbend Park.

Whitt-Riverbend Park features 28 acres on the New River. The park is open to the general public for fishing, taking leisurely walks on the paved walking trail or river bottom trail, picnicking, canoeing and camping by permit. The park trail is .71 miles long and traverses a beautiful open field along the New River. The trail surface is asphalt and has very little grade change. There are restroom facilities along the trail. This is part of our Giles Wellness Trails.

Group Leader: Cora Gnegy. All must COMPLETE THE WAIVER beforehand.

Special Notes: Parking is available, for free. We will be walking asphalt surfaces and unimproved dirt surface. Members can walk as much or as little as they’d like and this outing should take approximately 1 hour.
